People were already at risk of stress & burnout pre-pandemic and now heightened levels of anxiety mean inevitable frustrations of doing life together can easily be tipped over into irritation and anger much faster and more frequently than before
Research published just before the pandemic (Jan 2020) confirmed that corporate professionals (including couples earning £50k+ each) were already at a higher risk (3x higher) of significant domestic relationship breakdown than the national average, impacting performance, productivity and wellbeing.
In the new hybrid environment where boundaries between home and work continue to blur, the ability to build and maintain strong marriages and relationships with partners has never been more important for success, if people are to work well and be well.
